    It poses some interesting questions:

    – If the wrong choice brought you to the right place, what would the right choice have done?
    – If we know what the wrong choice was, we could presumably speculate on the right choice?
    – How do we know that we are in the right place?

    1. We don’t ever know which choice is right or wrong, until the choice is done and its consequences or side effects are there and we are living it. we believe those choices to be wrong, which were there in the past but they dont effect our present. But as we always love our present(no matter what and are grateful for that), we thank those wrong choices and feel glad that may be wrong choice, but still I chose it and I am going to live with it happily. Right or wrong is always unknown. whatever our heart feels(each heart feels differently) is right. Hope I didnt confuse it more 😀

Hi Darshith: So if right or wrong is unknown, are you saying that the original quote is now irrelevant?

If you made a bad decision and it turned out good, why was it a bad decision?

      2. I meant that we gotta always make a decision in the present. We don’t know that will that be a right or a wrong decision. That can only be judged after taking the choice. Just like an examination. During the 2 hours of the examination, we are writing answers or making choices, whether they are correct or wrong is judged by the teacher AFTER the exam. You can say, you knew that this was the right answer, but you never knew that will the teacher approve it or not. The role of a teacher is played by life. Hence, before or while taking the decisions, it is mostly never possible to judge it to be right or wrong. And about the quote being irrelevant, we all are born & face death, but in-between our journey is different. The quote I write or the way life treater me will be reflected in my words. Same will be for you. So, it may be irrelevant to you but not to me. And while writing this comment, I remember my post ARE WE THAT IMPORTANT, and how childishly I was asking questions and now I think I know that it’s always personal perspective or something like that. Cheers brother 🙂

Ohkay basically we do come to know about our choices of its right or wrong. Maybe some peeps get to know about it a lil later but we all do.
Yes we all are grateful for our present and we all do love it maybe some peeps not agree to this but basically you and I do.
We livin it!and that’s what makes life Possible!.

      Answers for you:
-Maybe the right choices would have got you to wrong places.
-Yes but what if you were forced to do so or you had to do it for somebody’s Happiness.
      You can’t be always selfish.
-Basically when we look at Life we do come to know when we are in a state of mind to understand and realise what is actually happening your Life.

      Thanks.

Hi Akiraa – I am still having problems with this, and your answers (which I really appreciated).

If the right choice got you to the wrong place, then it was the wrong choice to start with.

If you sacrificed logic for somebody’s happiness, then that was the right choice to start with.

When making a decision that involves somebody’s happiness, the concept will always be (by intent) the right choice however, if the end result is negative for that friends happiness, then it was the wrong choice.

It is very difficult to come up with a finite understanding (at least in the English language) when you have two subjective variables (right and wrong choices) impacting an equally subjective end result (right place) which is further complicated by ones perspective on the circumstances. 🙂

    Pretty good points there colinandray!
I believe there are situations where when you got to chose of what you believe is the wrong choice but turns out right simply means it’s a blessing in disguise.

  4. I’ve made some good choices and some bad choices. Ultimately they have brought me to the place I am today…a place I like. It took all the choices. While some were painful…I’d do it again if it meant reaching this place. Cheers

  9. I completely agree! So many wrong choices contributed to where I am today, which is generally pretty happy. Then there are choices that completely change the tangent of a life without you ever knowing it…like making the second cup of coffee which means leaving the house five minutes later, which means avoiding a car accident which would have landed you in the hospital where you would have met your future spouse, etc, etc, etc. I like this idea so much I wrote a whole fantasy novel about it 🙂

Hi Akiraa: I understand what your Post is saying, and it is beautiful from the perspective of a poet or a creative dreamer. Where (to me) it falls down is that the message would not convey too well to anybody who is not as creative as you and who therefore depends on a literal interpretation. 🙂

No I don’t depend on literal interpretations. I do however believe that important “messages” should be understood by as many people as possible which will, of course, include people who are not so imaginative. 🙂

But over her(this particular post) do you or do you not depend literal meaning.
Cause in the reply above you did.
So again I am asking you(related to the post) Do you depend on literal interpretation sir? I’ll be waiting.

No. I already said that it was a beautiful poem which indicates that I did not take it literally.

If I had taken it literally, I would have said that it was confusing as a result of poor and conflicting uses of adjectives with any interpretations being questionable due to subjectivity issues.

I prefer the first sentence! 🙂

      5. colinandray says:

No, because “sometimes” serves little purpose as a descriptive term in a grammatical analysis where there are multiple variables. Your current choice of words is fine but it needs a creative mind to appreciate it.
